The starting position for the sumo deadlift is feet separate at around two to three feet apart. Your toes should be pointing outward at forty five degrees.

Place a barbell at the shins placed about six inches below your knee. Now, with a straight back, lower yourself by bending your knees and spreading your legs just like how sumo wrestlers do it (thus the name). Pick up the barbell from the floor with your hands around a feet apart. One palm should be facing you while another palm should be facing away from you.

Take a deep breath, now stand straight while lifting the barbell. Go back down and exhale as you do. This makes one repetition.

These exercises are the best, but they alone can't make your buttocks firmer and bigger.

Progressive Training

The second principle is progressive training. This simply means that you should gradually increase the intensity of your workout as you go along. You can do the deep squats and sumo deadlift without weights at first (i.e. only your body weight) but you should add intensity gradually by using weights.

As you progress and start developing your butt, you should keep increasing the weight.

Consistency

Consistency and discipline is the foundation to acquiring a firm buttocks. If you're going to do it, you should expect to do it regularly. Skipping workouts would revert you back to your original form and neglect all the work you have done so far.
